Rangi Ruru Science

Rangi Ruru Science

This was the largest and the first new building completed by Rangi Ruru in a staged replacement of buildings adversely affected by the seismic event of 2010 and 2011. The campus is a compact inner urban Girls School in Christchurch New Zealand, within the context of a low rise residential neighborhood and a picturesque mansion proportion weatherboard administration building at the heart of the school.

The building creates a series of science labs configured linearly with adjoining breakout spaces for self-paced, collaborative and incidental learning, and showcases the sustainable solutions integrated into the building.

The building is a celebration of the resilience of the people of Christchurch and their commitment to excellence in learning for the next generation in the 125th year of the Schools history.
