McIldowie Partners in association with Sally Draper Architects were invited in 2014 to prepare a competition entry to design a new Clubhouse for the merged Peninsula Kingswood Golf Club.
Comprising of Club Function, Bar and Dining Facilities, Administration, Locker Rooms, Pro shop and 20 Bedrooms for accommodation. The linked buildings provide over 4,000m² of club facilities.
At the Club’s request, two options were designed for both a ‘modern’ and a ‘traditional’ clubhouse. Both concept designs addressed the qualities a contemporary Golf Club should possess and in a broader context, how might ‘modern’ and ‘traditional’ design solutions fit within an Australian landscape.
